Period: Location: Company: Position: Description:	07/2007 – 06/2008 Nias - North Sumatra: Indonesia Help - Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V., Bonn, Germany Architect, Project Coordinator “Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Supports from Help-ev for the victims of the Earthquake on remote and underdeveloped Nias Island – Indonesia”, funded by ADB and Aktion Deutschland Hilft (Germany’s Relief Coalition) Coordinate and supervise the rehabilitation of 210 houses in remote areas (assessment, proposal, recommendations and implementation). Monitor and advice the construction of 450 new houses (focus on capacity building and disaster prevention, sustainable construction techniques about energy supplies. Coordinate WatSan department in construction of rural water facilities through implementation of gravity feed water systems evaporation field and WatSan facilities: latrines, washing places and shower points. Coordinate the hygiene promotion program and the Community Mobilization Department. Develop and implemented trainings and workshops on “Rehabilitation of Earthquake Damaged Buildings”, “Hygiene Promotion” and “First Aid”.
